Yorkshire Arboretum cafe opening times and menu updates
THE Yorkshire Arboretum opened just in time for spring and cherry blossom season.
With containment restrictions relaxed, the arboretum is now able to accommodate visitors from further afield and groups wishing to meet outdoors.
Based in Castle Howard Park, it was founded in 1997 as a partnership between the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and Castle Howard, while the patron of the Trust remains HRH the Prince of Wales.

The site is now open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a take-out coffee service available from Friday April 2.
The Arboretum Café is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. all Easter weekend, then from Thursday to Monday.
The reopening of its café – offering take-out drinks and a selection of homemade cakes – will take place on Good Friday.
A range of sandwiches will be added to the menu starting April 12.
Hand disinfection stations are in place at the entrance to the reception center and at the coffee counter.
Arboretum Director Dr John Grimshaw said: “We know how much the Arboretum Café is loved and appreciated by so many people, and it gives us great pleasure to see it reopen.
“The arboretum looks spectacular as spring approaches, with cherry blossoms – especially Prunus ‘Tiltstone Hellfire’ – and rhododendrons starting to appear, and many trees in the collection are starting to wake up afterwards. the long winter.
“Our expansive lawns are perfect for enjoying a take-out coffee or for families looking for a place to spend the Easter holidays. There is something to inspire everyone here – and plenty of space to explore. ”
